GTM integration connects Umbrella platform with your online store. The connection with the online store is needed in order to activate popups and automations. GTM integration will sync events with Umbrella platform.
Events are used to trigger automation. Main events needed are: View Product, Add to Cart, Checkout Started and Buy. Buy event is equivalent of Shopify or WooCommerce “Placed Order” event.
GTM integration also sync the checkout subscribers into the Umbrella platform which allows sending to these contacts.
Additionally, both subscribers and events can be used to create custom segmentation.
In order to do GTM integration, you need to have Google Tag Manager account connected to your website.

To connect GTM to your website, go to plugins section on your website and install the GTM plugin.
