Umbrella Shopify App Integration Guide

This guide outlines an alternative method for integrating the Umbrella Shopify app with your store, focusing on an initial setup directly within the Umbrella dashboard, followed by enabling the app embed.

Preliminary Step: Log in and Select Organization

1. Access the Umbrella Dashboard and Authenticate:
   First, navigate to app.tryumbrella.com. Log in to your Umbrella account.
2. Crucially, Select the Correct Organization:
   Once logged in, ensure you select or are already logged into the correct organization within the Umbrella platform. This is vital as the app will integrate with the Shopify store connected to this specific Umbrella organization.

Step 1: Add Your Shopify Shop from Umbrella Dashboard

1. Navigate to Integrations:
   From your Umbrella dashboard (where you should be logged in to the correct organization), look for your profile icon in the top right corner. Click on it, and from the dropdown menu, select “Integrations”.
2. Select Shopify:
   On the Integrations page, find and select the “Shopify” option.
3. Add Shopify Shop Name:
   You will likely find an option to add your Shopify shop name (e.g., https://www.google.com/search?q=your-store-name.myshopify.com). Enter the name of your Shopify store into the provided field.
4. Click Integrate:
   After entering your shop name, click the “Integrate” button to initiate the connection between Umbrella and your Shopify store. This step typically handles the initial authorization from Shopify’s side.

Step 2: Enable the App Embed within Umbrella Dashboard

1. Navigate to Integrations (if not already there):
   If you’ve navigated away, return to the Integrations section by clicking your profile icon in the top right corner and selecting “Integrations”, then choose “Shopify”.
2. Enable App Embed:
   Within the Shopify integration settings, locate the option to “Enable app embed” and click on it.
3. Save Your Changes:
   Finally, click the “Save” button to apply the changes and complete the integration.
